KörperSchafftKlang is a voice and performance ensemble based in Cologne (DE), founded in 2007 by the artists Agnes Pollner and Ralf Peters. KörperSchafftKlang explore the range of possibilities of the human voice, inside and beyond the realms of speaking and singing. In one branch their activities, the ensemble focuses on voice art as part of the fine arts.

At the VENICE INTERNATIONAL PERFORMANCE ART WEEK, KörperSchafftKlang & Stimmfeld present two live performances:

  • For the work Fragile Voices, the voice and performance artists of the ensemble KörperSchafftKlang present a series of voice performances around the issue of fragility. Solo, duo, group performances explore different aspects of fragile voices during the week.
  • 100 years after the foundation of Dada in Zurich, KörperSchafftKlang inquire with the performance Totenklage – Lament for/of the Dead the possibilities to work today in the spirit of Dada. They propose performances around Hugo Ball's sound poem Totenklage, one of the most radical artistic reactions of an insane political situation. For about 2.5 hours, nine people work with this poem in the space, with different approaches to voicing, speaking and singing. (Artistic director: Ralf Peters)

With Karin Leyk, Sabine Scheerer, Christine Witzemann, Bettina Hesse, Agnes Pollner, Winni Heil, Hans van Almsick, Ralf Peters and Catherine Bédarida.
